Industry Engaged Learning invites all current and former Swinburne students to go into the running to win fantastic prizes by simply sharing their IEL Experience. Whether you have done a Capstone, Internship or IBL placement – to enter, simply tell us about your IEL experience in 500 words or less and an iPad2 could be yours!
Competition Terms
Entries must be a maximum of 500 words (not including title) and must refer to an IEL experience undertaken as part of your university studies at Swinburne. IEL experiences include Industry Based Learning, Industry Placements, internships, capstone and study tours and must have a direct connection to the student’s area of study.
While you are free to write your entry as creatively as you wish, all entries must contain the following:
- A description of your IEL experience (what, where, and when of your placement/experience)
- What you learnt from your experience
- How the experience allowed you to connect your academic studies to real world practice
- How it influenced your career aspirations
Along with your entry, you must include the following:
- Your name, details of the degree you are studying/studied and telephone contact details
- A photograph of yourself -either a photo of yourself undertaking your IEL experience or a portrait photograph are appropriate

Email your entry in Microsoft Word format and your photograph in JPEG format to iel@swinburne.edu.au by 5pm on Monday, 31 October 2011.
