Football Federation Victoria is currently seeking journalism students to write match reports on Women’s Premier League games.

This is a part-time, modestly paid position and will require you to travel to various metropolitan Melbourne football grounds and compose detailed match reports of about 400 words.

Any audiovisual and/or photography skills will also be an advantage. There may also be opportunities to travel to regional areas to report on matches as well as write feature articles.

Before starting, you will participate in a workshop with an experienced women’s football journalist who will give you advice on how to get the most out of your experience. This is a great opportunity to have your work published widely and add to your writing folio, all while raising the profile of women’s football in the lead up to the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Germany.
