A question popped into my mind – Can media shape the future? After watching “Home” on YouTube, tonnes of thoughts rush into my mind questioning my very instinct of humanity.

A few click away i reached the following video talking about production of “Home” with the use of media.

Media is not one of the humans’ basic needs (shelter, food, transportation, clothing) but it has a huge impact on society since the “Digital Revolution”, human were educate/entertained through media. The impact is so huge especially in the technological era, imagine one day without YouTube/Facebook/Newspaper/Internet/Cellular, it’s like having yourself back to the stone age. But the impact is still not significant enough to alter human unlimited wants, but in contradiction, “unlimited wants” isthe cause of evolution/is the cause of advancement. As such contradiction goes on, question is will media able to influence humans’ decisions greater than “unlimited wants”, or other way round. But one thing I’m sure of is that “Home” is definitely a movie worth watching especially for Journalism/Media student. Thumbs up!
