OurSay is a website which links politicians with Australia’s generation Y over issues that matter to them. Guest politicians respond to the most highly voted questions via online videos as people twitter about their responses. An extended explanation is up at: http://www.oursay.org.au/

They’re looking for a savvy media/marketing/communications guru to be part of their team. The volunteer position requires the following skills and experience:

# developing media and marketing strategies
# ability to coordinate and deliver communications materials such as media releases, media interviews
# event management
# experience with social media.

The volunteer will work with two members of the OurSay team to produce the following outputs:
# a media/marketing strategy detailing what media outlets to target and when media releases
# guidelines on how to conduct media interviews (coaching, key messages and knowing your audience)
# organise and market the launch of the website.

The position is likely to require 3-4 hours per week.
