La Trobe University will host a one-day symposium ‘Sports journalism and media: the state of play in research and curriculum’ on Thursday 8 April (just after Easter). This symposium is being held to coincide with the launch of a Sports Journalism Strategic Initiative at La Trobe  that will develop new curriculum to be offered in 2011.

The one-day event will feature panel discussions on sports curriculum, sports media research trends, and the sports media industry.
